Overview
Middlesex University is one of the largest universities in the UK, with 24,000 students enrolled at its London campus. £200 million has been invested to transform the campus into a state-of-the-art centre for excellence, with facilities and equipment that rival those of the world's top universities.
Middlesex University has a strong reputation for research amongst modern universities and their innovation in education has been rewarded with three Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education. The University has also been awarded two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise as a result of their international standing.
Services for International Students
Middlesex University provides an airport meet and greet service before the beginning of the term and an international orientation programme introduces students to the University and London through talks, events and trips. As well as pre-sessional English courses, Middlesex offers free workshops and tutorials on academic writing and the English language.

Middlesex has improved on the REF 2014 position in terms of increasing the scale, scope and quality of outputs and producing impactful research. Research from more staff was submitted for consideration in 2021 compared to 2014 and virtually 100% of the eligible staff were submitted across 12 units. The panels judged 41 per cent of the submitted work to be ‘world-leading’ (4*) and a further 43 per cent to be ‘internationally excellent’ (3*).
Accommodation
Middlesex University offers accommodation across four sites, providing almost 1,200 beds managed by the Central Accommodation Office. Full time international students are guaranteed a place in university accommodation for the first year of their studies and lodgings vary from traditional style halls to flats grouped around a communal kitchen/dining area.
Location
The Middlesex University London campus is in North West London and all subjects except medicine and nursing are housed on this campus.
