If you have at least 5.0 IELTS and need to improve your English language skills before enrolling at their chosen programme of study, you can apply to our Pre-Sessional English Language courses.
If you have an intermediate level of English language and are interested in improving your English business language, you can apply to our English Business Summer Programme.
If you are interested in preparing for the IELTS test, you can apply to one of our IELTS short intensive courses and take the IELTS exam at the University of Southampton.
If you are enrolled on our Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate programmes, you can apply to any of our English for Academic Purposes courses during term time. You also have access to our free English language support.
Erasmus and other visiting students can take English language degree unit courses both as main and alternative subjects in their academic programme whilst they are at the University of Southampton.
